package of Services
The
cornerstone of the Legacy Package that we create with your
help is recording an audio only oral history. You will be
guided by questions we ask. Your answers will be used to
build a chronological life history including memories, family
stories, and recollections of personal important life events.
We follow up with video recordings in which we ask you questions
about some of your life lessons, values learned and also
what you think are some of the most important things you
want others to remember about you. Most likely, these are
thoughts and feelings already shared with children and loved
ones over your lifetime.
We
offer an affordable easy way to professionally accomplish
what most believe is a good thing to have but never find
the time to do. It is a challenging task but we do most
of the tedious and creative parts. Interestingly, often
an important secondary benefit of working with us to create
"Your Legacy Package" is that it can lead families
into initiating the kinds of important discussions regarding
legacy that many would like to do but never felt comfortable
starting.
Cost:
Because
quality matters when creating and preserving such important
material, we use professional High Definition cameras, digital
audio recording devices and we make high resolution scans
of your historical photographs. We also use professional
video editing--DVD authoring equipment and experienced personnel
to complete you project.
The
basic DVD costs from $5000.00 to $7500.00 for one individual.
Cost can run up to $50,000 to $75,000 depending on complexity
and production value. The variables include the number of
production days added to include more persons interviewed
on camera, travel expenses or adding original music if desired.
We
can work with limited budgets by breaking the package down
to basic elements and extending the payment over a longer
time period. Barter is also a possibility.
We
ask for a deposit up front when you agree to do the project—usually
50%. The remainder is collected when we deliver the final
product.

- Additional copies are $10 each.
Additional
services:

Special Event recording - we will professionally video
any special family event or adventure.
- Additional recording sessions with persons other than
yourself that you might want to include in your package.
- Future Revisions and or additions to the original delivered
product.
- Create a web page where audio and video can be downloaded
to your computers or ipods.
- Digital copies of all the materials we acquired and
transcripts of the audio and video interviews.
